Holy Family Padre Pio Prayer Group will
hold their monthly meeting in the Holy Family
Church, Ballymagroarty, Derry. on Monday night
8th March starting with 7.30 pm Mass. There
will be two 1st class relics of St Pio at the
meeting

Flight
of the Earls
To commemorate
Irish Wheelchair Association’s 50th year,
Donncha O’Dulaing will lead a group of
walkers to retrace the route taken by the Flight
of the Earls all the way from Slane to Rome.
There will be two aspects to the journey, the
Irish leg which will commence on the 21st of
March from Slane and the International stage
will depart Dublin on the 20th of September
2010. We wish to invite anyone who would like
to join with us and experience any part/or all
of this very special journey. For more details

SPECIAL DIOCESAN MASS
The Annual
Diocesan Mass for those with special needs,
and their families and friends, will take place
in Saint Joseph’s Church, Galliagh, Derry
on Saturday 24th April 2010. Bishop Lagan will
celebrate the Mass. If you have a child who
wishes to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation
or First Communion at this Mass please contact

THE
SEASON OF LENT
Lenten
Exposition
Each Friday
during Lent the Blessed Sacrament will be Exposed
from after 10.00am Mass until 1pm. It is hoped
that as many of you as possible will be able
to spend quiet time in the church with the Lord
during the time of Exposition.
Rosary
The Rosary
will be recited each morning before Mass commencing
at 9.30am. It is hoped that as many as possible
will come and join the group in praying the
rosary.
Lenten
Reflections
based
on the five sorrowful mysteries of the Rosary
and facilitated by the Omagh Prayer Guidance
Team will commence on Thursday 25th February
after 10.00am Mass.

Derry
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes
(16th-21st
July 2010) Application forms are available for
any young person aged 14-15 years old who would
like a place on the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes.
Special arrangements are made for the youth
who will be lead by the Pilgrimage Youth Team.

Young People’s Pilgrimage to Lourdes,
Easter 2010
Around
five hundred young people from all over Ireland
spend a week on pilgrimage in Lourdes with the
IHCPT, The Irish Pilgrimage Trust at Easter.The
Irish Pilgrimage Trust(www.irishpilgrimage.com)
welcomes applications from young people with:
A physical disability or illness/suffering/trauma/bereavement
(aged 11-18) A learning disability (aged 11-21)
Jet Set Group- Physical Disability (18-25)
Jet Set Group-Learning Disability( 21-30) The
organisation also has Family Groups for very
seriously ill children under the age of 9, accompanied
by a parent or close relative
The IHCPT
covers the cost of those young people selected
to travel. If there is a young person that you
feel would be eligible and would benefit from
a trip to Lourdes or you would like further
information about the pilgrimage please contact
