REFLECTION
God is the source of all life.
To him we owe our very being and his plan for
each of us is to be raised to everlasting life
with him in heaven. Our faith calls us to express
our gratitude for this gift by the respect which
we show for our own lives and the lives of all
God’s creatures. As well as living our
lives as fully as possible, we should also oppose
anything which threatens or degrades human life.

Special
‘thanks’ to all the families
who welcomed the ‘station mass’
in their homes. Anyone wanting the stations
for Lent should get their name in as some were
disappointed in October when they came to book
a station in their area and it was already booked
- so get in early!
Thanks to all who attended
the SERVICE OF REMEMBERING last Sunday. It was
a great turnout from the parish and beyond who
came to pray and show respect for those who
are no longer with us. May they all rest in
peace.
Questions people ask
Q. What did Jesus mean
when he said that, in the resurrection of the
dead, people do not marry, because they can
no longer die?
A. The journey to marriage
begins in two people being attracted to one
another. This arises out of each one’s
incompleteness É ‘it is not good
for man to be alone’. The word sex originates
in the Latin word for a section or an incomplete
part. It is nature’s way of ensuring the
reproduction of the human race. In the perfect
love which is heaven, there will be no incompleteness
and, obviously, no need to reproduce. I believe
that the loving relationships which are formed
on earth will continue in heaven, in a way even
beyond our greatest expectations
